Changes in this version: An exciting new "version detection" feature was added so that nmap interrogates TCP or UDP ports to determine what service is really listening. In many cases it can detect the application name and version number as well. The database already supports 378 service signatures representing 86 unique service protocols. It can scan through SSL encryption, brute force RPC program numbers, and supports IPv6. The output table is now more concise. Many dozens of bugfixes, minor features, and portability enhancements...
